    DriverSide Raises First Funding Round


    San Francisco-based DriverSide, an online web site focused on automobile ownership, said this morning that it has raised a first round of funding led by Catamount Ventures. DriverSide also said it has added two new board members to the firm. Financial details of its funding round were not disclosed. The new board members at the firm are Jeff Bell and Mark Silverman; Bell is at Microsoft, and served at DaimlerChrysler marketing the firm's Dodge, Jeep, and Chrysler brands. Silverman is a managing director at Catamount, and has also previously served at Bocada and other firms.
