    Abrevity Looks For Buyer

Cupertino-based Abrevity, a developer of data classification and data management software, announced Wednesday that it is looking for a buyer. Toward this end, Abrevity said, it has retained Strategic Advisory Services International LLC as a financial advisor and intends to hold discussions with potential buyers that can best utilize its solutions, technology and management team. The Cupertino-based firm explained that it has reached an "inflection point" and needs a partner—ideally an IT solutions provider—that can maximize the value of its software solutions.
