    Amyris Biotechnologies Gets $41.75M


    Emeryville-based Amyris Biotechnologies, a developer of renewable chemical and biodiesel processes, said Thursday that it has raised $41.75M in a Series C funding round. The round came from GrupoCornelioBrennand of Brazil and Naxos UK, along with Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, TPG Biotech and Votorantim Novos Negocios. The firm said the firm is anticipating additional closes in the round, whichi s targeted at $60M. That additional funding will bring the company's total raised to $165M.
