Appirio Raises $10M in Series C Funding

San Mateo-based Appirio Inc., a firm that helps companies to implement software-as-a-service products such as Salesforce.com and Google Enterprise, announced Wednesday that a third round of venture financing has yielded $10 million. The round came from GGV Capital and Sequoia Capital. Appirio said it will use the Series C funds to invest in product development, go-to-market strategies and cloud computing services. The company also said it plans to use the money to invest in and expand strategic partnerships. With the funding, Appirio has now raised $16.7 million in venture capital. The company closed a Series B effort led by Sequoia Capital worth $5.6 million in July 2008.
