Fremont, California-based BiTMICRO Networks, a provider of solid state disk technology for the storage industry, said Monday that the firm has raised $9.3M in a Series F round of funding. The storage provider, which develops disk storage technology based on flash memory, said that the round was led by Woodside Investments LP. The round brings the company's total raised so far to $31.4M. BiTMICRO's products provide very fast disk access for IDE/ATA, SCSI, Fibre Channel, and SATA storage interfaces; the company's flash SSD's are used to accelerate database, transactional databases, and other performance sensitive computer applications.
