BlockScore Secures $2M

Menlo Park-based BlockScore, which develops identity verification and fraud prevention technology for online businesses, has raised $2M in a seed financing round. The funding came from Battery Ventures, Khosla Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, New Atlantic Ventures, Boost VC, Y Combinator and angels. Blockscore provides an API which allows vendors to verify users' identity, checking both public, private, and criminal databases.
