Bloomspot Gets $40M

San Francisco-based bloomspot, an online service focused on driving businesses to local merchants, said today that it has raised $40M in financing, consisting of $35M in a Series B equity funding, plus $5M in venture debt. The equity funding was co-led by InterWest Partners and Columbia Capital, and included Menlo Ventures, True Ventures, QED Investors and Harrison Metal, Eric Blachford (Expedia), and Gary Parsons (XM Radio). The debt funding came from Western Technology Investment. The firm said its deal tie credit cards and rewards for spending at merchants. More information »
