    cFares Adds $7.6M

Redwood City-based cFares said late Thursday that the firm has raised $7.6M in an additional Series A equity financing. According to the firm, the new round came from Claremont Creek Ventures and Garage Technology Ventures. Both of those firms were investors in cFares' Series A, which closed in July of 2007. In conjunction with the funding, the travel search engine said it has appointed Tom Kalinske as CEO. Kalinske joins the firm from Leapfrog, where he was CEO; he has also served at Knowledge Universe, Sega Video Games, Matchbox Inc. and Mattel Inc.
