Wednesday, July 16, 2008 Chirp Shops Assets, Personnel to thePlatformChirp Interactive Inc., a San Francisco-based social media applications developer, has sold certain assets to online video publisher thePlatform of Seattle, thePlatform announced Wednesday. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. thePlatform also neglected to specify which Chirp assets it purchased, other than to describe them as "key" despite also noting that their related services will be discontinued. As a result of the transaction, thePlatform noted, it will gain access to Chirp's technical development resources in the form of select personnel who will become thePlatform employees. thePlatform said those individuals will help develop new community and content discovery features for its media-publishing system.
