Couchbase Looks Up $14M

Mountain View-based Couchbase, the developer of database tools used for building scalable web and mobile applications, said earlier this week that it raised $14M in a Series C funding round. The round was led by Ignition Partners, and also included Accel Partners, Mayfield Fund, and North Bridge Venture Partners. The firm said it also has reserved an additional $1M for investment from strategic customers and partners. Couchbase develops NoSQL tools, based on Apache CouchDB, Membase, and Memcached open source software.
