CouchSurfing Scores $15M




CouchSurfing, the San Francisco-based service which helps connect travelers with people willing to let them crash on their couch, has pulled in another big funding round, saying today that it has raised $15M. The firm said the round comes from General Catalyst Partners, Menlo Ventures, as well as prior investors Benchmark Capital and Omidyar Network. CouchSurfing said the move will help it improve its website and mobile apps. As part of the funding, Jonathan Teo of General Catalyst joins the company's board; Menlo's investment was led by Shervin Pishevar. More information »
