Santa Clara-based CrestaTech, a developer of wireless RF tuners and integrated DSPs used for developing televisions, has raised $13M in a funding round, the firm said tdoay. The funding came from Bechtolsheim Ventures, Benhamou Global Ventures, Sofinnova Ventures and AVM Capital LP. The company, which was founded and is headed by George Haber, said the funding will go to accelerate develpment of its ICs. The firm's components are used by flat panel TV makers to replace mechanical tuners with semiconductor based, silicon tuners. More information »
