DarbySmart Gets $6.3M

San Francisco-based Darby Smart, which developers do-it-yourself projects for girls to consumers, said today that it has raised $6.3M in a Series A financing round. The funding was led by Maveron, and also included Forerunner Ventures and CAA Ventures. Darby Smart helps take popular, do-it-yourself (DIY) crafting projects from the Internet and helps provide the supplies and instructions to replicate those projects to consumers on a monthly basis.
