eBay reported late Tuesday that the firm is consolidating its North American operations, and will shut its Vancouver, Canada facility by the end of September. According to eBay, the move comes as it looks to capture efficiencies and expand support to its customers. The closure will result in the loss of approximately 700 jobs in Vancouver. The firm said it will instead increase employees at its existing, Salt Lake City, Utah facilities, as well as other facilities globally.
