Educreations Gets $2.2M For iPad Education

Palo Alto-based Educreations, the developer of an iPad app which lets people learn topics via iPad videos, or share their own knowledge with others, has raised $2.2M in a funding round, the firm said Tuesday. The round came from Accel Partners and NewSchools Venture Fund, along with angels Matthew Greenfield, Tabreez Verjee, and David and Julia Popowitz. The firm was founded by Wade Roberts and Chris Streeter, both formerly of RockYou. The firm is part of the ImagineK12 accelerator. More information »
