Facebook Buys Hot Potato
Facebook said Friday that it has acquired Hot Potato, a New York-based maker of social networking update software. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. As part of the acquisition, Facebook is shutting down Hot Potato. The buy was rumored to be worth around $10M, however, neither firm has confirmed those numbers. Hot Potato was venture backed by RRE Ventures, Betaworks and Ron Conway.
