Frank Quattrone Launches Technology Banking Firm
Frank P. Quattrone, the former CS First Boston investment banker behind Netscape, Cisco, and Amazon.com's IPOs, said today that he has launched a new technology focused merchant bank called Qatalyst Group. The new investment bank, based in San Francisco, will provide merger & acquisition and corporate finance advice to technology companies. Quattrone also said Qatalyst will operate an investing business called Quatalyst Capital Partners, which will invest alongside venture capital and private equity firms. Other founders of the firm include Jonathan Turner, former Global Head of Credit Suisse's Internet Group; Adrian E. Dollar, former General Counsel at Credit Suisse; Neal Chalaasani of Evercore; Brian Slingerland, most recently at Goldman Sachs; and Brian Cayne, who was an associate at Vista Equity Partners.
