    Forte Scores $5.4M For Design Synthesis Tool


    San Jose-based Forte Design Systems said today that it has raised an additional $5.4M in a Series D funding for its semiconductor design tools. The funding came from Saints Capital, along with prior investors 3i and Infinity Capital. Forte said the funding will go towards the firm's ESL design flow tools, and to build it's worldwide presence. Forte is developing tools for converting high level designs into reusable, re-targetable hardware designs.
