Immersion Sells Virtual Reality Glove Division
San Jose-based Immersion Corporation, a developer of touch-sensitive user interface devices, said Friday that it has sold its CyberGlove business to private equity firm Shackleton Advisors. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Immersion's CyberGlove business develops user interface devices for capturing hand and finger motion within virtual reality environments. According to Immersion, the business unit will become CyberGlove Systems LLC, and will be headed by Faisal Yazadi, formerly head of sales for the division.
