Tuesday, December 16, 2008 JackBe Lands $5MChevy Chase, Maryland-based JackBe, a provider of enterprise mashup software, said Tuesday that it has closed on $5M in funding. The firm--which maintains its R&D and engineering operations in Fremont--said the funding came from Harbert Venture Partners, Core Capital Partners, Blue Chip Venture Company, Intel Capital, and Darby Technology Ventures, all existing investors. The firm said the funding will go towards sales, marketing, and partner activities. The firm also appointed Wayne Jackson as its Chairman along with the funding. Jackson is the former CEO of Sourcefire.
