    LiveOps Taps Yahoo For VP


    Palo Alto-based LiveOps said today that it has hired Eckart Walther as the firm's Senior Vice President of LiveOps Marketplace. Walther joins the firm from Yahoo! Search, where he was head of products. According to LiveOps, Walther led the firm's social search strategy, including Yahoo! Answers and drove the acquisition of Del.icio.us. Walther has also served at Tellme, Netscape, Stanford University, and General Electric. Walther will report to LiveOps CEO Maynard Webb. LiveOps develops call center routing software, and is venture backed by Benchmark, Menlo Ventures, and CMEA Ventures.
