Santa Clara, California-based Magma Design Automation, a provider of chip design software, has acquired Hillsboro, Oregon-based Knights Technology. Financial terms were not disclosed. Knights Technology provides yield management and failure analysis software for the semiconductor industry. Magma said that Knights Technology's products, employees, and management team will become part of its Fab Analysis Business Unit. Knights was a subsidiary of FEI Company.
