Maxta Finds $25M For Storage Platform

Sunnyvale-based Maxta, a developer of storage software that turns standard servers into combined compute- and storage- for virtual environments, said this morning that it has raised $25M in a Series B funding round. The funding round was led by Tenaya Capital and Intel Capital, and also included Andreessen Horowitz. The startup, led by storage industry veteran Yoram Novick, said the funding will go towards product development, marketing, sales, and support. Novick founded Topio, which he sold to NetApp, and also spent a significant time at IBM's storage division. More information »
