San Francisco-based Mertado, which operates a social shopping service on Facebook, has been acquired by Groupon. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Mertado was venture backed by Rustic Canyon Partners, Redpoint Ventures, Y Combinator, and Blumberg Capital.
