Palo Alto-based Metacafe said this morning that it has hired on Michael Strambi as the firm's Chief Financial Officer. Strambi joins the firm from MobiTV, where he was VP of Finance. Strambi has also served at Macromedia, Blue Martini Software, Sun-Diamond Growers of California, and Ernst & Young. Metacafe is an online, user-generated video sharing web site.
