LSI Logic Acquires StoreAge
Milpitas-based LSI Logic has acquired Israeli firm StoreAge Networking Technologies Ltd, in a deal worth $50M in cash. StoreAge, which has its U.S. headquarters in Irvine, provides software for storage area networking management and data protection. LSI said that the acquisition would enable it to offer richer products and features for its end users. LSI said that it will offer employment to all of StoreAge's employees, who will join the firm's Engenio Storage Group.
