Sunnyvale-based Yahoo said this morning that it is in a strategic partnership with more than 150 daily newspapers to provide search and classified advertising to the papers. The deal calls for the papers and Yahoo to team on job ads and content to the papers' web sites, cross selling of online advertising for the sites, and distribution of the newspapers content on Yahoo's network. The consortium includes Cox Newspapers, Hearst Newspapers, MediaNews Group, the E.W. Scripps Company, Journal Register Company, Belo Corp., and Lee Enterprises.
