Wikia Gets Investment From Amazon
San Mateo-based Wikia, which is developing a wiki web site on a broad range of topics, said today that it has received a strategic investment from Amazon.com. Amount of the investment was not disclosed. Amazon.com was the sole investor in the round. The investment follows a Series A funding the firm received earlier this year from Bessemer Venture Partners, Omidyar Network, and angel investors Marc Andreessen, Josh Kopelman, Joichi Ito, Mitch Kapor, and Ron Conway.
