Google Rolls Out Patent Search
Mountain View-based Google has rolled out a new patent search service for its web site, saying last nigh that it has released a beta of Google Patent Search. The new patent search feature searches the full text of U.S. Patents, and includes digitized links to the complete images of filings. According to Google, Google Patent Search uses the same technology that powers the firm's Google Book Search service. Google said that its database currently contains 7 million patents granted by the United State Patent and Trademark office.
