Trion World Network Lands $30M
Redwood City-based Trion World Network, a firm developing online games and entertainment, said today that it has raised $30M in funding. The investment came from Rustic Canyon Partners, as well as Time Warner, GE/NBC Universal’s Peacock Equity Fund, and Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments. Existing investors DCM and Trinity Ventures also participated in the round. Trion said the funding will go towards developing and published new games and entertainment franchises. Nate Redmond of Rustic Canyon will join the board as part of the funding.
