Technology Partners Raises $300M For Cleantech, Life Sciences
Palo Alto-based Technology Partners said today that it has formed a new $300M fund targeted at investments in cleantech and life sciences. The venture capital firm said that its Fund VIII will be split between the two areas, with a focus on seed, early-stage, and later stage opportunities. According to Technology Partners, the firm's cleantech investments will include energy technology, water technology, and advanced materials; the firm's life sciences investments will include focus on neuroscience and lifestyle therapies. General Partner Ira Ehrenpreis leads the firm's clenatech investments, and General Partner Roger Quy heads the firm's life sciences investments.
