Active Athlete Acquires GolfBuzz
San Francisco-based Active Athlete Inc., an online media company that specializes in sports advertising, announced Thursday that it has acquired GolfBuzz Inc., a developer of publishing tools for the golf community. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Active Athlete said it plans to extend GolfBuzz's technology across all of its sports channels. The acquisition, Active Athlete added, is part of its strategy to offer its 180 sports-specific publishers and brand advertisers a comprehensive solutions set. Active Athlete is venture backed by Alsop Louie Partners and KPG.
