Sunnyvale-based Yahoo said today that it has revamped its mobile site, and rolled out a new developer program targeted at acceleration adoption of mobile services. Yahoo said that its new Yahoo mobile home page incorporates elements from My Yahoo! and the Yahoo.com front page, and will draw content from Yahoo's network and other Internet properties. In addition, Yahoo has rolled out the Yahoo Mobile Developer Platform, a software development program to help developers create mobile-optimized applications. The new releases come on top of a new release of Yahoo Go, Yahoo's cellphone software package, which allows developers to develop one mobile application to run on a wide range of mobile phones; the new Yahoo Go 3.0 client also includes display advertising.
