Milpitas-based JDSU said Monday afternoon that it has acquired the fiber division of Westover Scientific, a company which provides systems for fiber optic inspection and cleaning. The deal was worth $50M in cash, and also included Westover's affiliated manufacturing company in Fuzhou, China. According to JDSU, the division will become part of HDSU's Communications Test and Measurement business.
