Khosla Ventures Funds Diesel Engine Firm
Menlo Park-based Khosla Ventures said late Friday that it has invested in EcoMotors, a firm developing a fuel efficient, low emissions diesel engines. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed. According to Khosla Ventures, EcoMotors has developed a new diesel engine which aims at delivering 100 miles per gallon by 2011. ecoMotors is headed by Peter Hofbauer, and heads a team that Khosla says has been designing engines since 1967.
