INgrooves Gets Investment From Universal Music Group
Universal Music Group Distribution, the sales and marketing arm of Univeral Music, said Monday that it has made a strategic investment in San Francisco-based INGrooves. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Universal Music said that the partnership would further expand Universal's portfolio fo strategic media investments. Universal will use INgrooves distribution, marketing, and promotion services and proprietary software. INgrooves provides distribution of music tracks through iTunes and other online music services.
