Surf Canyon Gets Seed
Oakland-based Surf Canyon said Wednesday that it has raised $600,000 in an initial round of seed financing. The firm is developing browser plug in software which helps people refine their Internet searches on Google, Yahoo, and MSN Live. The firm said the seed round came from unnamed investors and business executives in San Francisco, New England, Paris, and London.
