Brisbane, California-based Glam Media, a provider of lifestyle-focused web sites and blogs, said today that it has acquired Codex Media, a Munich, Germany-based firm as part of a expansion into Germany. According to Glam, it launched Glam Media in Germany a a joint venture with strategic investor Burda Cross Media, a unit of Hubert Burda Media. Financial terms of the acquisition of Codex Media were not announced. Glam said it has acquired the key assets, technology, and employees of Codex as part of the launch. Katja Dalhofer, founder of Codex, will serve as director of sales for Glam Media GmbH, and Ralf Hirt, VP International for Glam Media will serve as Managing Director of the German operation.
