MonoSphere Acquired By Quest Software
Redwood City-based MonoSphere, a developer of storage management software, has been acquired by Quest Software. Quest said today that it has acquired the technology assets of MonoSPhere, which was backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners, Intel Capital, and Velocity Interactive Group. Quest has also hired a "substantial number" of MonoSphere's employees in the transaction. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. MonoSphere's software is used to analyze and forecast data storage usage, on storage arrays and storage area networks. Quest Software is based in Aliso Viejo, California.
