Menlo Park- and Philadelphia-based
Element Partners, a private equity firm focused on the clean technology market, announced Monday that the firm has held a final close on Element Partners II LP, a $486M fund focused on energy, water, materials, and manufacturing. According to Element, the fund was initially targeted at $400M, and was oversubscribed. The firm was advised by Greenhill & Co. LLC in the fundraise; the firm said investors in the fund included corporate, state and municipal pension funds, university endowments, private foundations, funds of funds, and family offices. Element now manages over $800M in three funds.
