Wikia Search, the user-powered search site run by Jimmy Wales, has shut down, according to a blog post by Wales. Wales said that the site "has not been enjoying the kind of success we had hoped" and said that "in a different economy, we would continue to fund Wikia Search indefinitely." Wales said the firm will be re-directing resources to Wikianswers.
