Fremont-based Exar disclosed this morning that it has completed its acquisition of fabless semiconductor firm Galazar Networks, a developer of silicon focused on packet-based telecom infrastructure. According to Exar, Galazar Networks will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Exar. Galazar develops products focused on Ethernet and TDM support over SONET/SDH, PDH, and OTN networks. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed.
