Oclaro Closes Deal With Newport
San Jose-based Oclaro reported Monday that it has completed its business asset exchange with Newport Corporation, which was announced on June 3rd. Oclaro and Newport had agreed to swap Oclaro's New Focus division for Newport's Spectra Physics high power laser diodes business. The deal was worth $3M in cash for Oclaro, related to differences in the values of the two businesses.
