Become.com Acquires German Shopping Site
Sunnyvale-based Become.com, an operator of lead generation web sites, said this morning that it has acquired German, comparison shopping firm Pangora Gmbh. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Become.com is buying the site from Lycos Europe N.V. The firm said the acquisition makes it the largest supplier of white-label, comparison shopping solutions in Europe. Pangora's German office will become Become.com's European headquarters, and bring its number of employees to approximately 140.
