Loopt Updates BlackBerry App
San Francisco-based Loopt said Monday that the firm has rolled out a major update of its application for BlackBerry smartphones. According to Loopt, a developer of mobile social networking software, the updated software now runs in the background on the BlackBerry, and also now provides relevant local content about places and events near a user. Loopt is venture backed by Sequoia Capital and New Enterprise Associates.
