Oclaro Buys Xtellus
San Jose-based optical components firm Oclaro said Thursday that it has acquired Xtellus, a developer of optical modules. The deal is worth $33M in Oclaro stock. Oclaro said the buy would give it a comprehensive line of wavelength selective switches for the optical networking market. Xtellus was based in Danville, New Jersey, and also had facilities in Israel and South Korea.
