Brightkite, a developer of mobile social networking applications, said at SXSW today that it has launched a new Group Text service. The firm said that its free service allows users to send and receive messages from a group. The new service allows users to sent text to a list of users, and relays any reply from those users back to the others in the group. The firm said the new service is free, and works with SMS, the Web, iPhone, or iPod Touch.
