San Francisco-based business reviews site
Yelp said last night that the site is swizzling its reviews filtering process, and is eliminating the controversial "favorite review" feature of its site. According to Yelp, it is hoping to make it "even more clear" that it reviews content equally for all businesses, and that there is not a connection between advertising and reviews. Yelp said, that among chnages, it will allow users to see reviews which were filtered by the firm. Yelp has been dogged by criticism of the firm's filtering of reviews of businesses.
