Salesforce.com Buys Jigsaw
San Francisco-based Salesforce.com announced this morning that it is in a definitive agreement to acquire San Mateo-based Jigsaw, a provider of crowdsourced, business contact data. According to Salesforce.com, it will pay approximately $142M in cash, plus a performance-based contingent earn out of 10% of the purchase price for Jigsaw. Salesforce said that the buy will tie Jigsaw's service--which allows users to share and find contact information for potential customers--into its own CRM tools.
