Apple Acquires Siri
Apple Computer has acquired San Jose-based Siri, a developer of an iPhone application which provides a virtual personal assistant. Financial terms of the buy, which was first uncovered by Robert Scoble, were not disclosed. Siri is backed by Menlo Ventures, Morganthaler Ventures and SRI International. The firm is a spinout of SRI.
